Acemagic has revealed that it will be announcing a new variant of its F9A gaming mini PC at IFA 2026. The F9A has been around for a while, powered by AMD’s monstrous Ryzen AI Max+ 395 Strix Halo APU.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the company has claimed that the new F9A mini PC will be powered Strix Halo’s successors, the Gorgon Halo family. Specifically, the mini PC will be equipped with up to the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 APU with 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads.
That said, the actual performance difference between Strix Halo and Gorgon Halo is rather minimal. On paper, the new Gorgon Halo APU features a 100 MHz higher base and boost clock and a significantly higher maximum RAM capacity of a whopping 192 GB, which should be excellent for local LLMs.
A marginally faster XDNA 2 NPU is also present, with roughly 10% faster performance.

According to the limited set of benchmarks that we have, the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 is around 5% faster than the Ryzen Max+ 395 and roughly 10% faster than the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395 in early benchmarks that have appeared on Passmark.
The iGPU department has also witnessed a modest upgrade, as it now features the Radeon 8065S iGPU with 100 MHz higher clock speeds. Needless to say, the iGPU can also reap the benefits of the Gorgon Halo platform’s increased RAM capacity.

The Radeon 8060S, which we have tested extensively in mini PCs such as the Evo-X2 (currently $2,199 on Amazon), performed roughly at the same level as an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU in synthetic benchmarks as well as real-life gaming. A similar performance profile can be expected for the 8065S as well.
Folks who would prefer an even higher amount of GPU horsepower can utilize the F9A gaming mini PC’s OCuLink interface for speedy eGPU setups.
Other I/O options according to Acemagic include dual USB 4 ports, dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 2.1. Storage requirements are handled by a single M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot supporting capacities up to 4 TB.
Pricing details regarding the mini PC are obviously under wraps for now, as the system is yet to be launched. Acemagic has revealed that pre-sales will commence on the 10th of September. Given the ongoing insanity surrounding DRAM and NAND prices, the F9A mini PC is more than likely to cost a rather eye-watering amount, especially for the configs with lots of RAM.
All told, folks interested in Acemagic’s offerings are requested to be mindful of the controversy that the company found itself in back in 2023, when pre-installed malware we discovered in a bunch of their offerings. The company has since published assurances that future products will have no such issues.
