N.C. (WBTV) – The Carolina Panthers and every other NFL team had to have their rosters whittled down to 53 players by Sunday at 6 p.m
With roughly 90 players rostered at the start of the weekend, it was inevitable that some notable names would be cut by Sunday evening. And they were.
Among the notable Panthers cuts were wide receivers Ja’seem Reed and David Moore, and linebacker Trevin Wallace. Notable names who made the initial 53-man roster include wide receiver John Metchie and newly signed tight end Darren Waller.
With the Sept. 13 regular-season opener quickly approaching, we’re breaking down Carolina’s whittled-down roster on Monday’s edition of The Point After. Watch live at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, in the video player up above.
