Sony is expected to reveal the full PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for September 2026 later this month. Last month’s selection included some solid games, including Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and we’re hoping Sony can deliver another strong lineup this time around. However, it looks like we already know about one major addition coming to the service.
Back in June, Sony announced several new games that would be coming to PS Plus later this year. One of them was RuneScape: Dragonwilds, which was originally scheduled to arrive sometime in Fall 2026. That changed later when Sony released a release date trailer for the game, which confirmed that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will launch on September 15, 2026.
More importantly, the description for the trailer confirms that the game will be available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers at launch. This means RuneScape: Dragonwilds is effectively the first confirmed Game Catalog game for September 2026.
Sony has yet to reveal the rest of the lineup, so subscribers will have to wait a little longer to find out which other games are joining the service this month.
That said, RuneScape: Dragonwilds originally launched in Early Access on PC in April 2025. The full release is now expanding to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game combines survival gameplay with the RPG systems and fantasy world that RuneScape is known for. Players can explore the hand-crafted continent of Ashenfall, complete quests, level up skills, craft equipment, make potions, and fight creatures such as Zogres and Black Knights.
