Experience Bayou Sol: The only full service aerial entertainment company in SWLA

La. (KPLC) – From aerial hoops to live performances, Bayou Sol Entertainment is bringing a unique form of art and entertainment to southwest Louisiana

The Lake Charles based company is the only aerial entertainment company in the region that offers performances, workshops, private lessons, and entertainment for a variety of events.

The founder and owner of Bayou Sol, Rain Nations said her interest in aerial arts began while she was attending nursing school at LSU.

“I went to nursing school at LSU and I was able to take aerial classes during school,” Nations said.

That experience eventually led her to become an aerial arts instructor and travel throughout Louisiana. As a Lake Charles native, Nations said she wanted to bring what she learned back home.

“I was so inspired by everyone I met along the way on this journey that I had the biggest blessing opportunity to teach and become an instructor for the aerial arts across Louisiana for a different studio,” Nations said. “I knew as a Lake Charles native how much rich culture and history and arts we already have here. I wanted to be able to bring that to our city.”

Bayou Sol also works closely with Lafemme by Studio L, where weekly aerial classes are available. The company also offers pop-up workshops and private group lessons.

“We collaborate very closely with Lafemme, which is by Studio L, the studio that we’re currently in,” Nations said. “If you like weekly classes, she does offer them here. We do workshops and pop-ups on our website. We do offer private group lessons.”

Nations said aerial arts can be enjoyed by people of many different ages and backgrounds.

“We have entertainment events ranging from ages eight to all the way to 70 years old, every walk of life, every part of Louisiana, even Houston, Texas, you name it,” Nations said.

Bayou Sol can also be booked for a variety of occasions.

They offer pole art classes, flame throwers, and jugglers.

“We get booked for parties, workshops, private lessons, so many events, corporate events, all the things you would love to see something be like, ‘Wow, it’s amazing,’” Sabrina Nolan said.

The company recently performed at McNeese State University and is preparing for another local appearance during White Linen Night Sept. 12.
