- The Pitt, a hospital drama starring Noah Wyle, has quickly gained popularity and critical acclaim, offering viewers an intense and gripping storyline similar to The Bear.
The Bear finished on Hulu last month after five years of yelling, screaming, tantrum-throwing, and oodles of delicious food. Fans who love the series are already missing its unique and realistic brand of humor and storytelling, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other series out there that can fill the void
Here are the best shows like The Bear if you want more intense family drama and maybe even some workplace fire
Shameless
The main thematic heft of both The Bear and Shameless is the intense trauma of broken families. Star Jeremy Allen White also appears in a main role in both series. The series follows a family of six children who must navigate the ups and mostly the downs of Midwestern life without parental guidance. William H. Macy plays the role of Frank Gallagher, the dad with an alcohol problem and no ability actually to care for his kids
Beefwill remind people of The Bear because of its ability to portray the whirlwind anger of daily life, whether that be in the kitchen or on the road while getting into an argument with strangers. Both series analyze the insecurities and incapabilities of the human condition. Beefis drastically different in one way: it’s an anthology. The characters and the cast change with each passing <a href="https://comicvibe.com/x-men-97-season-two-2-preview-cables-recruitment-drive/” title=”X-Men '97: Season Two #2 Preview: Cable's Recruitment Drive”>season, but the themes and storylines remain intact enough to create a throughline of plots
The Pitt
Noah Wyle’s hospital drama started life as a small-time series inspired by his time on ER. With two seasons in the books, The Pitt is well on its way to becoming one of the defining shows of the 2020s. Wyle already won an Emmy for his role in the first season, and he’s highly favored to win another this year. The show is just as intense as The Bear, just set in the medical world instead of the culinary one
