Rockstar has locked in a release date for Grand Theft Auto VI: November 19, 2026. It’s also confirmed a detail that could trip up a lot of buyers. Retail download codes for the PlayStation 5 version will only work with a PlayStation Network account from the same region where the game was purchased.

Ubisoft and Xbox have announced a batch of games that give you a Ubisoft Connect PC entitlement if you buy them on the Xbox Store.

Update, 7/27/26, 7:24 p.m.:After suffering an outage that began late yesterday evening, several Xbox online services have been restored according to the Xbox Status page. 

Xbox is currently suffering a major service outage, days after PlayStation was hit with a similar issue. Services such as booting up digital games, logging into your account, and browsing the Xbox Store are said to be affected.

UPDATE 5:30 p.m. ET:Xbox says it’s “making progress on recovery” and that “most players should be able to launch titles and complete purchases again.” However, it warns that, “Some may still see occasional failures as we finish up.”

Microsoft’s Play Anywhere initiative is growing once again. Now, Ubisoft games are included for the first time, meaning for titles like Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, you now only need to purchase the game once to get access across both Xbox consoles and PC.
