A new editor, a new address and a new chapter for the house of ideas. Marvel Comics is turning the page on two major fronts, appointing veteran editor Stephen Wacker as its new editor-in-chief while relocating its publishing division from New York to Burbank in July 2027.

The celebrated horror author, 78, is a noted fan of John D. MacDonald’s 1957 novel The Executioners, which has been adapted several times for the screen.

Marvel announced today that veteran editor Stephen Wacker has been named Editor-in-Chief, Marvel Comics. Wacker will take over from C.B. Cebulski, who will be moving to Japan to become Editor, Asia Originals, for Marvel.
