Nearly four decades after “Spaceballs” first spoofed the “Star Wars” universe, the long-awaited sequel, “Spaceballs: The New One,” made a splash at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday with one of the franchise’s biggest stars leading the celebration.

On Friday, July 24, Amazon MGM Studios skipped ludicrous speed and went straight to plaid in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con as the cast and filmmakers of SPACEBALLS: THE NEW ONE sat down for a galactic panel.
