TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Tucson Comic-Con is bringing together fans of comics, anime, movies, television and more this weekend, with costumes ranging from Wild West cowboys to anime characters and Stormtroopers filling the Tucson Convention Center.

FERGUS ― Alexander Taylor is sick of driving up to two hours to pursue his hobbies. 

“I noticed in the geek fandom space that there weren’t really a whole lot of women that looked like me that really reflected things that represented women and fandoms that I liked,” Broadnax said.

A local media collective focused on Black nerd, or Blerd, culture has been green lit for a long-awaited feature film on geek culture.
