“The Muppets” return to primetime with a contemporary, documentary-style show. For the first time ever, a series will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires. This is a more adult Muppet show, for “kids” of all ages.

Since their first appearance on “Sam and Friends” in 1955, the Muppets have come to leave an indelible mark on not just the entertainment industry, but the entire world. After all, you’d have to look pretty hard to find someone that doesn’t know about Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the gang. 

This September, The Muppets come to the Marvel Universe for the very first time in THE MUPPETS TAKE THE MARVEL UNIVERSE #1, a one-shot celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Muppet Show with all-new stories uniting the beloved gang of Muppets with the iconic heroes of Marvel Comics! 

The Muppets are having a standout year. The revival of ‘The Muppet Show’ on Disney+ picked up six Emmy nominations, including one for outstanding variety special in the pre-recorded category.
