For all Linux gamers, the wait is (almost) over. Epic Games announced plans to bring Fortnite to Linux as part of a major overhaul of its Easy Anti-Cheat system. The company is developing a new version, called EAC Linux v2, designed to offer protection against cheating closer to what Windows players currently have.

Linux gamers have gotten used to hearing that yet another multiplayer title is cutting off the platform due to a variety of reasons, though most of their arguments usually sound lazy to me.

September was a great month for PlayStation Plus members, as Sony added some solid titles to the Game Catalog, which Premium and Extra members have access to. Epic Games is announcing a big refresh of its PC games launcher today in preview, saying that the new version is “way faster” and now supports Linux. But the company, which has been publicly making a big push into AI-assisted development, also notes that the refresh was “vibe coded.”

The PlayStation Plus game catalog adds some fantastic titles to its library this month, including Mafia: The Old Country.
