Next Play Romania, the first national show dedicated to Romanian video games currently in development, kicks off on Friday, September 11. The First Next Play Romania Show
The audience is invited to tune in on Friday, September 11, from 7:00 PM, onMădălin Adrian’s YouTube channelfor the first Next Play Romania show. The 13 teams will present their games live and try to convince Mădălin Adrian, Werty and BoboSpider to pick them in the draft. At the end of the evening, each creator will form their own team by choosing three of the 13 projects at the starting line, and the audience will find out which nine games will move forward in the competition.

Each of the 13 teams will have just five minutes to make their case. The developers will present their game trailer, the team and the idea behind the project, as well as its current stage of development. After each pitch, Mădălin Adrian, Werty and BoboSpider will react live, and at the end, each creator will choose three games and form their own team for Next Play Romania.

From that moment on, each creator will support the three games they have chosen and introduce them to their own online community, while the developers will continue working on their projects and taking on the challenges of the upcoming stages.
Next Play Romania turns the game development process into a show that audiences can follow over approximately 12 weeks. After the presentation stage, the teams will document the creative process, giving the audience the opportunity to see how new features and content are implemented into the games. Throughout the competition, the public will vote for the games that move forward, with the field gradually narrowing until the winner of the first edition is crowned.

Next Play Romania is organized by the Romanian Game Developers Association (RGDA), Nexus Gaming and DBO, with the support of Banca Transilvania. The show aims to bring games developed in Romania into the spotlight even before their release and turn the process behind them into an experience that a wider audience can follow, understand and influence.
