    Hasbro Transformers Age of the Prime Deluxe Class Target Master Sureshot Figure Review

    Sureshot joins Hasbro’s Transformers Age of the Primes as a deluxe figure, a modern update of the vintage 1987 release. He comes in colors that are true to the classic 1980s toy, compared to the slightly darker tones seen in the Transformers Generation One cartoon. Sureshot includes the Targetmaser Spoilsport, which transforms from a double barrel blaster to a robot in two stages.

    Sureshot is packaged in the line’s standard deluxe class window box with artwork, logos, and images on all sides, and the back includes a depiction of him in both modes. Includes instructions for transforming him and Spoilsport.

    Sureshot takes inspiration from the 1987 vintage toy with some modern updates including today’s style sculpting and articulation. Available in classic toy colors like red, orange, yellow, gray, and black, it’s sure to add a touch of color to make it stand out in your collection.

    His head design is based on his appearance in the Transformers Generation One comic book episode “The Rebirth”. This head has a black helmet, gray face, and blue glasses.

    Spoilsport comes as a Target Master figure, which also has a new sculpt based on the 80’s design. He transforms from a double cannon blaster into a small robot that can be placed in Sureshot’s hands or on his back. It can also be held in two different ways: folded and stretched as shown. Spoilsport is mostly black and red with blue eyes.

    A breakdown of his articulation is shown in the video. Spoilsport has no articulation.

    Sureshot transforms into a Cybertronian Dune Buggy, which is not a common vehicle for Transformers figures. His Autobot logo is on the top of the roof, and you can place his blaster in the 5mm port on the front.

    Overall, Sureshot and Spoilsport are great figures and great updates to the original figures. This is a great product, and considering it’s been 39 years since these characters have been available in plastic form, a modern update was definitely needed.
