Shadow Clown Comics, the comic book publisher of actor and multidisciplinary artist Ossie Okil, is set to debut a new sci-fi series via GlobalComix in March, and The Beat has all the details. Titled “We Who Remain,” the series features writing by Ikhile, art and lettering by Mark Marvida, and colors by Marvin Marida.
The synopsis of “We Who Remain” is as follows.
Across a divided world, where the neon towers of Coreland pierce the sky and the ancient spirits of the Hollow Wilds whisper in the darkness, six broken strangers are drawn together by an incomprehensible force. Haunted by a sense of loss and in pain, they are guided by the fading echoes of Elara, the guardian of light, and are led into a battle for humanity’s last breath.
However, the enemy that awaits them is neither a beast nor a machine. It is Dahlia, Elara’s sister, her equal and her opposite, who has returned to destroy the balance of life itself. As the city burns and the earth trembles, the group must confront the ghosts of their past and the truth that there is no power without scars.
Their path takes them through the ruins of civilization, fortresses of rotting metal, and bloody arenas before a final showdown between two gods who were once one. When the light finally goes out, will the world end or will it wake up?
