YAHYA BLACK AT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
One night after playing 18 snaps in the preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills at the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, Pittsburgh Steelers second-year pro Yahya Black was back on the sideline Friday night, this time at a local high school football game.
As part of the Steelers Showcase, Black was in attendance for the Mt. Lebanon-Upper St. Clair matchup in the WPIAL.

Upper St. Clair went on to win the game over Mt. Lebanon, which happens to be Steelers rookie running back Eli Heidenreich’s alma mater. Black was in attendance for a blowout 35-0 win.
The projected starting nose tackle has taken on a larger role publicly with the Steelers since joining as a fifth-round pick last season. He’s an outgoing personality that people gravitate towards, and the Steelers are leaning into that.
RAVENS TRADE DL TO GIANTS
Ahead of the final roster cutdown deadline, the Baltimore Ravens made a surprise move Saturday morning. Baltimore traded veteran defensive lineman C.J. Okoye to the New York Giants, reuniting the defensive lineman with former head coach John Harbaugh.
According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the Ravens are receiving a 2028 seventh-round pick from the Giants in exchange for Okoye.

Okoye is an International Pathway Program player and appeared in 13 games with the Ravens last season. He played 214 defensive snaps and 41 special teams snaps, providing some value as a rotational piece for Baltimore before the organization made changes this offseason.
SEAHAWKS OWNER DOUBLES DOWN ON STEELERS FANDOM
New Seattle Seahawks owner Vinod Khosla made some headlines earlier in the week, revealing during his introductory press conference that he’s actually a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, in large part due to the Steel Curtain dynasty of the 70s. That led to plenty of criticism headed his way after spending a ton of money to buy the Seahawks.
On Friday, Khosla doubled down on the Steelers fandom on X.
“What’s wrong with admitting my 1976-78 period in Pittsburgh (CMU) got me excited about the NFL?” Khosla wrote on X. “I still watch their games doesn’t mean I won’t unconditionally ALWAYS as owner, want the@Seahawksto win and have every edge up, EVERY TIME over every other team!!!! Zero questions!!!”

It feels like a large non-story, but people are taking it and running with it. It’s a shame the Steelers don’t play the Seahawks this year to give it even more life.
