With a trip to the 2026 LLBWS Championship on the line, Team Mountain and Team Great Lakes face off in a rematch in the United States Championship on Saturday.
The semifinals are set when the Mountain and Great Lakes Regions face off in the United States Championship for the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series on Saturday afternoon. Team Mountain is the only undefeated team left in the United States bracket, represented by Paseo Verde LL from Henderson, NV, with a 3-0 record coming into this game against the Great Lakes. This is actually the last game of the day, as all of today’s championship games will air on ABC. But first, the 2026 Little League Challenge Exhibition will be played between teams from Berwyn, PA, and Oakley, CA, marking its 25th anniversary, at 10:30 a.m. ET. That will be followed by the International Championship between undefeated Team Curaçao and Team Japan at 12:30 p.m. ET. This U.S. Championship game is a rematch between Team Mountain and Team Great Lakes from their openers last Friday in this tournament. The Mountain Region won in a tight game, 6-5. Great Lakes led in the top of the fourth after a three-run inning, but they couldn’t score again, with the Mountain Region scoring four unanswered runs to complete the comeback. Team Mountain hasn’t had a close game since. They went on to beat the Northwest Region 5-0, then made the championship game by beating the Midwest Region 14-6. The winner of this game will make the LLBWS Championship against the International Championship winner on Sunday, Aug. 30.

Team Great Lakes has been playing well ever since their opening-day loss to Team Mountain. Team Great Lakes is represented by West Side LL from Hamilton, OH, and now they are 5-1 in this tournament. They haven’t taken second chances for granted for a moment in this tournament. The Great Lakes Region bounced back quickly with a 10-0 rout of the New England Region, then won comfortably against the Southwest Region, 6-1. They kept their tournament hopes alive with a 5-2 victory over the Metro Region, then absolutely dominated the Southeast Region in the quarterfinal, 11-2 on Wednesday. Team Great Lakes scored four runs in the first and four runs in the sixth, and never really looked back to make it to this rematch against Team Mountain. Can West Side LL get revenge and complete their comeback journey by making it to the LLBWS finale?
