Roblox, an immersive gaming and creation platform, today announced that it will establish its regional headquarters (RHQ) for the Middle East and North Africa in Riyadh as the company expands investments in support of Saudi Arabia’s digital economy objectives under Vision 2030.

Roblox features millions of user-generated games and educational experiences, offering people of all ages free tools to design, build, and publish interactive games and experiences in one ecosystem.
Roblox creators can earn a portion of transactions made in real-world currency, making Roblox one of the biggest virtual economies in the world. In 2025 alone, creators on Roblox earned more than $1.5 billion, including creators in Saudi Arabia, whose earnings on the platform have increased 59% year-on-year.
Roblox’s decision to establish regional headquarters in Riyadh was supported through collaboration with the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA), Riyadh Creative District (RCD), and the General Authority of Media Regulation (GMedia) as part of the platform’s ongoing commitment to support the growth of the Kingdom’s creator ecosystem.
This expansion, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the objectives of the National Gaming and Esports Strategy Objectives, also builds upon Roblox’s partnership with Savvy Games Group, signed in 2026, to expand the Kingdom’s use of Roblox as an educational tool to teach STEM skills to Saudi students, creators, and studios. Roblox’s partnership with Savvy focuses particularly on education. Roblox supported the Kingdom’s inaugural Play to Learn competition, in which more than 700,000 high school students submitted original game-design concepts for the opportunity to have their ideas developed by a professional studio. Roblox brought the top ten game concepts to life as part of the platform’s Learning Hub and aims to continue supporting Saudi Arabia’s expansion of STEM education through gaming as part of its planned RHQ presence.
