It’s bedlam over in the Fortniteuniverse, as Override has ripped the battle royale seven ways from Sunday with one of the biggest seasons of crossovers ever.
From the oldest gaming icons like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Pac-Man to newer royalty with Cyberpunk’sV and Kingdom Hearts’ Sora, Override has kicked Chapter 7 Season 4 off in style.
Sprites have added a new layer too, forcing a new Pokopia-like spin-off game that will soon feature the Game of Thrones direwolves all cutesied up without their fangs.
But, without sounding too ungrateful, Fortniteis quickly running out of new mediums to play with.
So, here are seven Fortnitecollaborations that we need to see next…
Next Fortnite collabs that we want to see
1 – Five Nights at Freddie’s
Somewhat a bit of a cheat code, so we’ll get to it first: the next stop ahead of a spooky fall season could very well be Five Nights at Freddie’s. Leaks suggest that this crossover is likely, alongside a new take on League of Legends for Halloween, but it’s also one that will go down a treat with fans.
The wackier the better, of course. We’re talking Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, and a new POI inspired by the famed cinema.
2 – One Piece
Fortnitehas already dipped a toe into anime crossovers, partnering with Dragon Ball Zand Attack on Titan. So, naturally, the next step is One Piece.
The manga has long been rumoured to be happening, with Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, and Sanji as the main characters, but it has to arrive.
3 – Mario
Nintendo, please! The biggest omission from the Override season of gaming legends is any Nintendo IP, and at the top of that list is Mario. The Italian plumber is the most recognisable face in all of gaming, and seeing a line-up of icons feels underwhelming without him.
It’s obviously a barrier that Epic and Nintendo have never settled on, but my gosh, would a Mario crossover blow up.

4 – Fast and Furious
This is a personal favourite, as the first five Fast and Furious films are truly iconic. And, with Fortnitecontinuing to play around with different cars, it seems a natural progression.
In fact, Epic Games has already done Fast and Furiousin Rocket League, so it could make perfect sense to see the franchise return when the new launcher arrives with Unreal Engine 6.
5 – Ghost Rider and MCU 2027 expansion
Epic Games and Marvel go hand-in-hand, and there is much more scope to continue exploring Phase Six of the MCU within Fortnite.
At the top of the tree would be Ghost Rider, ahead of the 2028 film, and X-Men characters who are coming into their own in the double-header of Avengers films coming out soon.
6 – The Elder Scrolls
Give us a Paarthurnax glider, immediately. There’s more chance of this happening than Elder Scrolls 6, considering that Fortnitehas really ramped up its fantastical crossovers in recent months, following The Witcher and Game of Thrones collabs.
There is plenty of fun to be had with the entire Elder Scrolls franchise, from Skyrim’sDragonborn, Lydia, and Karliah, to Oblivion mainstays like the annoying child as a Sprite.
7 – Lord of the Rings
Sticking with fantasy and rounding off the list is Lord of the Rings. In conjunction with the new film, Hunting for Gollum, featuring a returning Elijah Wood and Shire newbie Anna Taylor-Joy, a trip to the Lonely Mountain would be the perfect collab for 2027.
There are endless skin opportunities in this realm, and picking just five would seem almost impossible. But the Baggins duo, Gandalf, Legolas, and Gollum must be up there as some of the most iconic faces in the entire film industry.
