What To Know
- Meghan Markle is reportedly in talks to join The Gentlemen at Netflix.
- While discussions are preliminary, as Season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s series has yet to be greenlit, it coincides with Markle’s recent move back to the U.K. with her husband, Prince Harry.
After news about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s return to the U.K. was announced, it seems that Markle’s return to acting is becoming clearer as she eyes a role in The Gentlemen for a potential third season of Guy Ritchie‘s Netflix drama.
Season 2 of the series is slated to kick off on Thursday, September 3, bringing back Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Ray Winstone, Daniel Ings, and many more. According to Deadline, Markle is in preliminary discussions to join The Gentlemen for Season 3, which has yet to officially be ordered by the streamer.
Without a season order, casting is difficult to confirm, and the outlet noted that Markle’s talks are in the earliest stages and are ultimately “hypothetical at this point.” Additionally, no defined role has been outlined for Markle to play, but the U.K.-based production would be fitting for her and Prince Harry’s move back across the pond.
Despite their former roles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won’t resume royal duties or reassume their titles. While the couple will maintain their California residence, they’ll be staying in the U.K. for an extended period of time.

Should Markle join The Gentlemen, it would undoubtedly raise public interest and potential popularity for the show ahead of its long-awaited return. Season 1 of the series dropped back in 2024. Considering Prince Harry and Markle have a first-look deal at Netflix, her participation in this title from their original library makes sense.
While Markle is set to make a cameo appearance in the forthcoming Amazon MGM Studios movie Close Personal Friends, this possible casting for The Gentlemen would likely be her first major scripted role since Suits, in which she starred from 2011 to 2018, appearing in over 100 episodes.

Theo James & His Biggest TV Roles So Far
Set in the same world as Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name, The Gentlemen‘s second season is set one year after Eddie (James) and Susie (Scodelario) joined forces to work together in Bobby’s (Ray Winstone) criminal empire overseas. As they attempt to expand their business, Bobby makes unhinged decisions, forcing Eddie and Susie to decide if they should take action or risk losing everything.
Fans can tune in to see how it all unfolds when Season 2 of The Gentlemen arrives on Netflix, and stay tuned for more on Markle’s potential casting as we await additional news on possible Season 3 renewal.
