This week, publisher Serenity Forge launched their rhythmic visual novel title ‘Puppergeist’ onto PC via Steam/<a href="https://store.epicgames.com/p/puppergeist-962429?lang=en-US” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Epic Games Store/Xbox PC, Xbox, Xbox Cloud (Play Anywhere supported), and <a href="https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/puppergeist-switch/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Nintendo Switch consoles—retailing at 4.99 USD.
Puppergeist follows Claire, a young witch who travels into the Doggie Underworld to search for her missing Pup. At the beginning of her journey, Claire is joined by Lunne, a demon who becomes her new friend. Along the way they meet doggie spirits, each with their own story of friendship, love, and loss. Through these encounters, Claire forms new connections and moves closer to finding her Pup.
Puppergeist features rhythm challenges inspired by the Rhythm Heaven series, combined with a narrative-driven adventure about the bond we form with our pets. Each doggie spirit introduces a unique mini-game, with players using rhythm to lift their spirits and help them work through their concerns.
Developed in-house at Serenity Forge, Puppergeist features creative direction and artwork by NomnomNami, creator of BAD END THEATER. The soundtrack includes guest compositions from Kris Wilson, co-creator of Cyanide & Happiness; Kan Gao, creator of To the Moon; and Kawai Sprite, creator of Friday Night Funkin’.
