McDonald’s is bringing together two popular universes into one Happy Meal.
On Aug. 18, the chain released its Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal, which features eight exclusive collectible toys at participating restaurants nationwide for a limited time, according to its USA menu spotter.
The new toys feature combinations of Sanrio Hello Kitty characters and monsters from the Godzilla films.
Included are Hello Kitty dressed in a Godzilla costume (complete with her signature bow), the white rabbit Kuromi wearing a Mechagodzilla costume and the Cinnamoroll puppy character in a Destoroyah crustacean monster outfit.
Other adorably ferocious toys include the My Melody bunny in a Mothra winged costume and Badtz-Maru wearing a Rodan dinosaur-esque outfit.
McDonald’s also created a Chococat sporting a SpaceGodzilla costume and the Keroppi frog character as the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah, along with Pompompurin, a Sanrio Golden Retriever, wearing a Gigan villain costume.

The chain described the characters as “the cutest crew only” in an Instagram post.
“Every Happy Meal offers another chance to bring home a piece of this monster-sized crossover,” McDonald’s said on its menu spotter.
“We’re going to at least 3 or 4 McDonald’s today!” one enthusiastic fan commented on the chain’s post. “Im gonna freeze most of the nuggets & apples!!”
Another added, “These are so cute I love them all so much! The best collab! ❤️❤️❤️”
Per the menu spotter, the meal represents a combination of “kawaii,” which means cute in Japanese, and “kaiju,” the Japanese subgenre of monster films like Godzilla.
“The cutest universe is crashing into the most fearsome force in cinema history, and the result is one monstrously adorable meal,” the chain said, adding that the meal proves “that even the mightiest monsters have a soft side.”
The Hello Kitty-Godzilla toys aren’t the first new Happy Meal collectibles the chain has released this summer.
On June 9, the chain launched FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meals in honor of the soccer tournament, complete with 23 Squishmallow plushies.
Three of the toys represented the official mascots of the three host countries: the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
The various animal and fruit-shaped plushies wore soccer-inspired jerseys.
Also this summer, the chain launched a new sweet-and-savory breakfast item: the Honey Brown Butter Bacon Egg & Cheese Biscuit.
Available for a limited time starting July 21 at participating restaurants nationwide, the item features the classic sandwich components layered between two biscuit halves and “creamy, toasty Honey Brown Butter,” per an announcement shared with PEOPLE.
The chain wrote on its menu spotter, “Some mornings call for something sweet. Others demand something savory. Why not enjoy both?”
The fast food chain also released its first energy drink, the Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer, on Aug. 17.
“Combining Red Bull’s signature flavor with blue raspberry syrup and freeze-dried dragonfruit inclusions, Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer is a bold, fruit-forward sip that’s as vibrant as it is energizing,” the company said in a press release.
The drink can be ordered with reduced sugar or with Red Bull Zero.
