According to Variety, Marvel Studios and Disney have set a July 28, 2028 release date for the Ghost Rider film starring Ryan Gosling.
When the project was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige did not reveal the release date, but he confirmed that it was slated for the 2028 slate.
Gosling will be playing the titular character, although it’s not yet confirmed which iteration. Shawn Levy is directing the film, with plans to begin production next year. More details will emerge in the coming months.
Aside from the 2028 releases, Marvel Studios has also already scheduled dates for its 2029 slate, but no specific projects have been named yet for the slots.
They are planning to release new films on May 4, July 13, and November 9 in 2029. We will likely hear details on which movies they are releasing on those dates in the coming months or next year in another San Diego Comic-Con presentation.
Some fans have speculated that Marvel might slot those dates for either a new Deadpool movie, the Fantastic Four sequel, the Nova movie, or an X-Men spinoff movie.
