The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series “VisionQuest” got its first trailer during Friday’s D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase.

The new show premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

It will be the final part in the trilogy that began with 2021’s “WandaVision” and continued with 2024’s “Agatha All Along,”

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is the company’s biennial exposition, where it previews upcoming movies, <a href="https://comicvibe.com/10-best-tv-shows-like-emmy-rossums-furious/” title=”10 Best TV Shows Like Emmy Rossum's Furious”>shows, experiences and products, in addition to honoring its history. This year’s event is taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center from Friday to Sunday.

“VisionQuest” will see Paul Bettany returns as android Avenger Vision. James Spader will also appear in the series as villainous artificial intelligence Ultron, whom he last played in 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Along with Orla Brady, the cast also includes Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Emily Hampshire and Ruaridh Mollica.

We last saw a rebuilt Vision in the “WandaVision” series finale — the character was destroyed prior to that appearance in “Avengers: Infinity War” — where his memories of his time as an Avenger were restored, and he flew off to an unknown destination.

Speaking to ABC News at New York Comic Con last October, Bettany said “VisionQuest” will find his character searching for identity.

Paul Bettany returns as Vision in “VisionQuest,” which begins on Disney+ on Oct. 14Marvel

“We meet Vision at a point where he is trying to figure out who he is and what he’s for,” he said. “There is a lot of philosophical debate between me and James Spader. There’s a lot of philosophical stuff, but with lasers.”

Bettany said he believes that search is key to the character’s popularity.

“The wonderful thing about the Vision and why he appeals to young people so much is that he is in the process of becoming,” he said. “You always find him in a process of discovering, or at least trying to discover, who he is. And I think that’s an urgent business for young people.”

Marvel is owned by Disney, parent company of ABC News and “Good Morning America.”
