    • The new Disney+ TV show Coven Academy has released its first teaser trailer, offering a glimpse into the world of teenage witches and warlocks at an elite magic boarding school in New Orleans.
    • The show is set to premiere on Disney Freeform on October 1, 2026, followed by premieres on Disney+ and Hulu on October 2, introducing characters like Blair, Sasha, and Tegan played by Malina Pauli Weissman, Jordan Leftwich, and Ora Duplass, respectively.
    • Coven Academy, created by Tim Federle and executive produced by Darren Swimmer, Todd Slavkin, Amanda Row, and Bronwyn North-Reist, promises a mix of supernatural wars, forbidden love interests, and mysterious secrets within the walls of the magic school.

    The new Disney+TV show Coven Academy has released its first teaser trailer. At first glance, the show’s premise seems like a blend of the worlds of Wednesday and Harry Potter. The show is set to premiere on the platform this year.

    The official synopsis reads, “In the haunted heart of New Orleans, “Coven Academy” follows three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal and attraction is a liability. Caught between ancient supernatural wars and forbidden love interests, the coven must decide how far they’re willing to go to protect their city—and themselves.”

    What happens in the Coven Academy trailer?

    As the instrumental version of Olithe main character, Blair. It also provides a first look at the peculiar world of Coven Academy, a boarding school for witches and warlocks

    At the beginning of the trailer, viewers see that Blair gains her witch powers through her anger issues. To harness these powers that erupt in bursts of anger, she is sent to the Academy. Here, she meets people who are as quirky and strange as she is. However, within the Academy also hide many secrets that she and her fellow witches discover, including a vampire who’s lurking around.

    Blair is described as “a fiercely independent New Yorker who discovers she’s a witch.” The character is played by Malina Pauli Weissman. Jordan Leftwich plays Sasha and Ora Duplass plays Tegan, two of the important friends Weissman’s character gains in the Academy.

    Other cast members include Malachi Barton as Jake, Louis Thresher as Ollie, and Tiffani Thiessen as Miss Graves. Swayam Bhatia, Brendon Tremblay, Keegan Connor Tracy, BJ Harrison, and Nathaniel Logan McIntyre also star as returning characters.

    Coven Academy is created by Tim Federle, who also serves as executive producer. Other executive producers include Darren Swimmer, Todd Slavkin, Amanda Row, and Bronwyn North-Reist.

    The show will premiere on Disney Freeform on October 1, 2026. This will be followed by a premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on October 2.
