D.E.C.A.Y. is a new survival shooter set in a dystopian post-nuclear war America. It releases on SteamVR in Early Access on August 21.

D.E.C.A.Y., short for the Department of Environmental Control And Yield, is an agency supposedly responsible for procuring and distributing supplies in a world that has been decimated by nuclear war. In actuality, it is a corrupt organization trying to exert control over a planet on the verge of death.

Players are tasked with the maintenance of the Atlas network, massive structures maintaining a thermal and radiation shield over sections of the surface to prevent the sun from scorching it. The game operates out of a bunker similar to the popular Into the Radius where players maintain their equipment and systems.

D.E.C.A.Y. comes from AGaming+, a solo developer studio that previously released the Stalker-inspired Z.O.N.A. games, Z.O.N.A. Project X in 2023 and Z.O.N.A. Origin in 2025. I played a demo during Next Fest and it hit all the marks one would expect from a post apocalyptic action shooter without feeling too similar to something like Into the Radius.

D.E.C.A.Y. can be wishlisted now on Steam. The Early Access period is expected to last about a year after its August 21 release.
