Gurugram: It’s game on for another leadership move at WPP Media. Kanik Yadav has been promoted to vice president, sports and entertainment, expanding his responsibilities after nearly four years with the company.
Yadav most recently served as business director, content north at WPP Media, a role he held from January 2024 to July 2026. Before that, he was associate business director, content north, helping lead branded content and content-led marketing initiatives across the northern region.
His elevation marks the latest step in a career spanning brand solutions, content partnerships, media sales and sports marketing.
Prior to joining WPP Media, Yadav spent more than four years at Mirchi, where he held several commercial and brand partnerships roles. He began as account manager, Catalyst, before moving to account manager, brand solutions, group manager for Impact across television, digital and on-ground properties, and later senior account manager for Impact IPs.
Earlier, he worked as manager, sales at Sportzlive, where he gained experience in sports media and sponsorship sales. He also served as assistant manager at Atlantis Research after starting his career with an internship at PCL Technology.
An MBA in marketing from IBS Gurgaon, Yadav has built expertise across content strategy, project management, integrated brand partnerships and sports-led marketing.
His promotion comes as WPP Media continues to strengthen its sports and entertainment practice, reflecting the growing importance of live events, branded content and sports marketing within clients’ integrated media strategies.
