Bruno Guimaraes heads to Newcastle United’s La Manga training base after no-show
Bruno Guimaraes is heading to Newcastle United’s La Manga training base ahead of the appointment of Matthias Jaissle.
The Brazil international has been on an extended break after his World Cup adventure was ended in the knockout stages by Norway in the last 16.
The 28-year-old has been constantly linked with the Gunners throughout the summer after a six week transfer saga, but crucially no bid from the Premier League champions.
New boss Matthias Jaissl;e arrived on Saturday with his move to Newcastle slightly delayed by a paperwork issue with the club he is leaving Al-Ahli.
Bruno was supposed to turn up last night but failed to do so, however, he is en route to the Spanish training base this morning.
As reported by Chronicle Live at the weekend Bruno was scheduled to meet Toon officials and crucially new boss Jaissle.
