Vin Diesel
Mark Sinclair Vincent, widely known as Vin Diesel, is an American actor and producer. He gained international recognition for his portrayal of Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise, a role he has played since 2001.
Diesel’s career also includes starring roles in The Chronicles of Riddick series, where he plays the character Riddick, and as the voice of Groot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, beginning with Guardians of the Galaxy.
Beyond acting, Diesel has also produced several films within the Fast & Furious series and other projects through his production company, One Race Films.

Mark Sinclair, known professionally as Vin Diesel, grew up in New York City with his astrologer mother, fraternal twin brother, and adoptive father, an acting instructor and theater manager. This environment immersed him in the performing arts from a young age, leading to early work in Off-Off-Broadway productions. After creating his own independent short film, “Multi-Facial,” which screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and the feature film “Strays,” which was a Sundance entry, he captured the attention of legendary director Steven Spielberg.
Spielberg cast Diesel in his acclaimed 1998 war epic “Saving Private Ryan,” a role that brought him significant critical and public exposure. He followed this with a memorable voice performance as the titular character in the animated classic “The Iron Giant.” His ascent to leading man status was cemented by two iconic roles in the early 2000s: the anti-hero Riddick in the sci-fi action film “Pitch Black” and the street-racing patriarch Dominic Toretto in “The Fast and the Furious,” which established him as a major action star.
The “Fast & Furious” franchise has since become a global phenomenon, with Diesel serving as a key creative force and producer. Under his guidance, the series evolved into a multi-billion-dollar saga centered on themes of loyalty and found family.
