A new leak has just teased that the upcoming LEGO PlayStation 1 set could ship with an Astro Bot-themed Gift With Purchase. The leaked LEGO PlayStation set still hasn’t been officially confirmed, but given just how many leaks have surfaced over the last few months, it feels like a safe bet to assume it’s coming in the near future.
This leaked PlayStation set would be far from the first time LEGO has dabbled in the retro gaming market. Back in August 2020, LEGO released its Nintendo Entertainment System set, a 2,646-piece set that retailed for $229.99. This set included a brick-built version of the iconic Nintendo console, along with a little retro TV that displayed the on-screen action of the original Super Mario Bros. game. In the years since, LEGO has released another handful of retro gaming-related sets, including a SEGA Genesis controller Gift With Purchase, a LEGO Pac-Man arcade cabinet, and a LEGO Game Boy. Just last week, LEGO unveiled its next retro gaming set, this one a 1,371-piece recreation of the original Donkey Kong arcade machine.
