Classic OVAs including ‘Earthian’ and ‘Please Save My Earth’ to air in August
Japanese satellite channel Eisei Gekijowill air a selection of classic OVAs (original video animations) from the 1980s and 1990s throughout August.
Titled “Rewind the VHS! Our OVA Special,” the lineup will feature four titles: Earthian, based on the manga by Yun Koga; Please Save My Earth, based on Saki Hiwatari’s manga; Mirage of Blaze: Rebels of the River Edge, based on Mizuna Kuwabara’s work; and Gravitation OVA, based on Maki Murakami’s manga.
Gravitation OVA will air on August 1, followed by Mirage of Blaze: Rebels of the River Edge on August 8, and Please Save My Earth on August 9. Four installments of Earthian will air consecutively on August 16. Additional broadcasts of each title are also planned.
The OVA special will continue into September and October, with titles including Gosho Aoyama’s Collection of Short Stories, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Vampire Princess Miyu OVA, among those that have already been announced.
