MGK is making sure people remember exactly what he brings to the table. His latest single, “JKK,” pairs him with rising Japanese rap star Yuki Chiba for a fast-paced track filled with confidence, clever anime references, and a visual that is just as bold as the music.

Produced by No Love for the Middle Child, BazeXX and SlimXX, “JKK” finds both artists trading energetic verses as they proudly show off their skills. Throughout the song, MGK mixes his signature style with nods to some of Japan’s most popular anime series, creating a track that feels like a crossover between hip hop and anime culture.

He opens with, “JJK, I’m going gojo, six-eye technique/ ‘Demon Slayer’ katana slice, all demigods must bleed/ ‘Chainsaw Man,’ I’m the rap devil, who the f— try me?” The line also calls back to his 2018 Eminem diss track, “Rap Devil,” while weaving together references fans of anime will instantly recognize.

MGK keeps the momentum going with another verse packed with even more familiar characters and storylines.

“‘Hunter x Hunter,’ I’m like Killua, goin’ Godspeed/ JJK, blood manipulate, Choso gang affiliate/ Mob in Tokyo, curse assimilate, out the underworld, we originate/ Chia, Fushiguro, all my dogs shikigami/ Yuji, shoot at them like Fuji, we don’t hide the bodies.”

A Colorful Video With a Simple Twist

The release also comes with a fun music video directed by Sam Cahill. While MGK is dressed in bright yellow and Chiba stands out in red, the rest of the video is presented in black and white. The contrast helps the two rappers stay front and center as they perform the high-energy track.

    Yuki Chiba’s Global Rise Continues

While MGK is already a familiar name to many fans, Yuki Chiba has quickly become one of Japan’s biggest rap exports. He first gained major attention with his breakout hit “Team Tomodachi,” then expanded his international audience through the chart-topping collaboration “Mamushi” with Megan Thee Stallion.

Chiba has also worked with artists including Murda Beatz, Feid and Big Sean, helping introduce his style to listeners around the world. His momentum shows no signs of slowing down, either. This November, he’ll take another major step in his career when he launches his debut North American headlining tour.

With “JKK,” MGK and Yuki Chiba bring together two different corners of the rap world for a high-energy collaboration that celebrates confidence, anime culture, and global hip hop. It is a reminder that music can cross borders just as easily as fandoms do.
