GORN 2 has received a new “Dungeon Brawler” mode in a winter-themed update for Quest, PC VR, and PlayStation VR2.
Available now on all platforms, GORN 2 is a comical over-the-top arena brawler that pits you against five sons of an afterlife god after an untimely death. The main campaign has you taking part in a series of arena battles while defeating muscular gladiators, but publisher Devolver Digital has announced the addition of a dungeon crawler mode.
Aptly known as the “Dungeon Brawler” update, the update also includes various winter-themed additions, including ice floors, new dungeon hazards, and the ability to freeze enemies. New weapons include hockey sticks, icicle swords, ice arrows, pitchforks, and more, and developer Coltopia has also introduced a jump button to jump over enemies.
New story content is also promised, with the studio confirming that this dungeon crawler mode will feature 25 unique rooms, with player and weapon modifiers to be found as you progress. Additional missions are also available to unlock weapons in the dungeon crawler.
This joins a growing list of seasonal-themed updates that GORN 2 has received. October’s Fight of the Living Dead update celebrated Halloween by letting you fight the undead, and also added the crossbow, scythe, and Resurrection Spire. “Shanksgiving” followed last month with a time-limited “Turkey Hunt” game mode.
GORN 2 is currently available on Quest, Steam, and PlayStation VR2.
