Its time for Tuesday Reviews Day! Every Tuesday the Bobby Bones Show team shares TV shows and movies they’ve watched and recommend that you check out.
- Mike D watched The Dink on Apple TV+, about a washed-up tennis pro who gets into pickleball. Bobby’s friend Andy Roddick is in it, and Mike says Andy was great playing… Andy! The overall story got a little slow for him since he’s not a big pickleball fan, but he still gives it 3.5/5 Paddles.
- Bobby watched Rebel Ridge on Netflix and thought it was amazing. It’s a shoot-’em-up, but a really good one, earning 4.5/5 Pew Pews.
- Bobby also watched Disclosure Day and says it’s really good. He thinks it was marketed like it would reveal some big alien secret, but it feels more like War of the Worlds meets Jurassic Park. He gives it 4/5 Little Green Men.
- And Bobby watched Widow’s Bay on Apple TV+, which has been nominated for a ton of Emmys. He says it’s really good and gives it 4/5 Scary Islands.
- Amy watched A Toxic Love Story on Netflix. It’s a 90-minute documentary recommended by one of our callers about a very twisted love story in Orange County. Amy didn’t want to give too much away, but says it keeps you on your toes. She gives it 4.5/5 Craigslist Ads.
- Eddie went to the theater to see The Odyssey. He thinks it could have been a little shorter and said you could tell people were getting fatigued around the two-hour mark because everyone started heading to the bathroom. Even so, he thought it was great and gives it 4.5/5 Pigs
- Lunchbox watched Season 4 of Hacks on HBO. He didn’t love Season 3, but says Season 4 is hilarious and that every episode delivers. He gives it 4/5 Head Writers.
- He also watched The Mitchells vs. The Machines on Netflix. It’s a kids movie, but one of those kids movies that’s actually really good. He gives it 4/5 Road Trips.
