Hasbro currently offers the Transformers: Age of the Primes Alpha Trion figure, which is part of the Voyager class of products. Alpha Trion is based on his appearance in the Transformers Generation 1 comics, specifically in the episode “Dawn of War”. He can transform into robot mode and also into a Cybertronian spaceship similar to the unused Altered Mode created for the 2005 IDW Comics incarnation.

Launch: December 2025
Alpha Trion is packaged in the line’s standard Voyager class window box, with artwork, logos, and images on all sides, and the back includes a depiction of him in both modes. Includes instructions to transform him.

Alpha Trion comes in his Transformers G1 cartoon colors including red, purple, blue, and silver, with the area around the silver and cockpit being metallic purple.

His head sculpt closely resembles the source material and includes a metallic silver face, mustache, red and purple helmet, and blue eyes.

The shield can be stored on the back under the cockpit piece that lifts up and plugs into the back with a 5mm port that plugs into the shield.

The Autobot logo is removable from the chest and can be placed anywhere a 5mm port will accommodate, such as the shoulder. There are also two shoulder pad spikes that loosen inside the polybag and also accommodate 5mm ports throughout the body.

Alpha Trion includes a contract and a quill, and a book with ancient Autobot writing and two pages. The first page recreates its appearance in the Beast Wars comics with an Autobot tampograph. The second has the ancient Autobot phrase “Until all are one” and is signed with Trion’s personal emblem. This book has a 5mm post molded into the cover to allow Alpha Trion to hold the book, and it also plugs into a tab on his forearm. This book can also be placed under the port on the back and vehicle mode.

The Alpha Trion shield can also be attached to a 5mm port on the hand or forearm. The quill can be stored on the shield and the oath can be stored on the back.
In robot mode, his joints include a rotating head and hinged neck, rotating hinged shoulders, rotating biceps, hinged shoulders, hinged fingers, rotating hips, rotating hinged hips, rotating thighs, and hinged knees.

Below are some comparisons to recent Alpha Trion figures.

Alpha Trion transforms into a Cybertronian spaceship featuring similarities to an unused alteration mode created for the 2005 IDW Comics incarnation. The cockpit can accommodate and sit the Titan Master figure, but the cockpit cannot be closed (Titan Master figure is not included, so you will need to use one of the older figures from Titans Return).
All in all, Alpha Trion is a great guy and this is one of his best works. The attention to detail and attention to detail is great, and features like the removable Autobot logo are great. Accessories such as the pledge and quill are great for this figure and something we haven’t seen before. He is one of the 13 Primes, making him a great addition to your Transformers collection. 13 Prime has never been offered like this before, so this is something new and something Hasbro has never touched in the past. Be sure to get him and other figures at BigBadToyStore now!
