Speaking candidly in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Narayani said, “I’ve seen people doing cocaine and MDMA at parties. Earlier, people would drink and dance, but now things have become very different.” She claimed that drugs have become increasingly common at certain social gatherings in the entertainment world.
The actor further alleged that some parties are now planned with drugs in mind. “There are parties where the budget includes drugs. That’s the reality, whether people want to accept it or not,” she said, adding that not everyone in the industry participates in such activities and it would be unfair to paint the entire fraternity with the same brush.
Clarifying her stance, Narayanistressed that her observations are based on personal experiences and should not be interpreted as a generalisation about the entertainment industry. “I’m not saying everyone does it. There are many hardworking, disciplined people who stay away from all this. But I can’t deny what I’ve seen with my own eyes,” she said.
The actress also reflected on how social circles have evolved over the years, claiming that substance abuse has become more visible than it was earlier. According to her, the glamour associated with celebrity parties often hides the darker realities that exist behind closed doors.
