As early as 2023, Disney made its debut Kafan animated series about the titular squirrel and her best bunny, Barry Barry, when they browsed schools, relationships and their quirky and surreal community in Table Town. It’s a hit song, nominated for the Outstanding Children’s or Teen Animation Series and has original songs for the 2025 Children’s and Family Emmy Awards Children’s or Teen Show. After two recent special offers, Kaf Season 2 is here this weekend, with new episodes on Disney Channel. We have the opportunity to chat with creators and producers Lucy Paradise and Nic Smal Regarding the new season, what new Nutty Adventures can fans expect.
Taimur Dar: I admire Kiff without any secret, which proves its appeal to children and adults. For a moment in my favorite episode “Fun fun pat”, you’ll see Uncle Pat sitting on the bed lamenting his life, which definitely resonates with you. What is the secret to making a happy performance for kids and adults?
Lucy Paradise: We really wrote Kaf To make ourselves happy, we have inner children who are very livelihooded. [Laughs]. We have written for ourselves now, and we have written for ourselves as kids. We have been writing for ourselves.
Nic Smal: All stories come from places where truth or real experience. The example you give is “Funny Uncle Pat”, which appears by a true story in the writer’s room. Consider that you always see some kind of interesting and interesting person, which is relevant. For Kiff, she always knew Uncle Pat’s fun, but he was a real person who was ups and downs in his life. Letting children see this and search for it is a real life process. We always try to take advantage of the truth and reality of life.
Taimur Dar: There are a lot of talented people involved in the show, but I have to highlight the voices of H. Michael Croner, Barry and countless other characters. for Kaf In season 2, he took over Sam Riegel’s voice director. How did this development happen?
Lucy Paradise: H. Sam is too busy Key role and all his other projects. Obviously, we like Sam, but it’s a very simple transition because H. Homew.
Nic Smal: H. will always read the script a few times, then record it, and firmly understand the plot. When he was an audio director, he would provide very interesting prospects and advice for certain performances. As a great actor, he will be able to get this from other voice actors. Not only that, it was really pleasant to be able to read it as Barry when he read it with them Chemical [Glenn] Because you heard Barry and Kiff at that time. So, it’s effortless. He absolutely killed it as a voice director.
Lucy Paradise: He’s as fun as Barry, and when we need to fill it out, he’s a powerhouse in other characters. He makes it easy and hilarious. We love him.

Kiff, Barry, Flam Bingo
Taimur Dar: As you mentioned, Croner voice also sounds many other characters, including the action movie star mailbox Chubbles Wubbington. The “Blooper Quest” plot raised a lot of questions for me, including his possession of a sophisticated British man. I’m glad he got his own plot in the new season. I have to know the development of chubby, if he has more Kaf Season 2?
[Laughter]
Nic Smal: Yes, you’ll learn more about chubbyness. He is one of our favorite characters. Whenever there is a movie, we love and always play the leading role
Lucy Paradise: The young man Wubbington is a national treasure!
Nic Smal: We do actually get involved in who the character is.
Lucy Paradise: And his own history as an actor, his way of starting with the stages of his position being torn apart. Now, he is in a new stage of his career, and even more exciting stages. It’s based on the idea you see from Russell Crowe [them] In movies with different accents, you don’t know their sound. We hope this is surprising. Playing characters is so fun to us, the more ridiculous, the better, making them human.
Nic Smal: What I like is that no one questioned or left, “That was a mailbox.” We had witches, trolls and talking animals. This is a living mailbox. This is just part of the world. This is the smile I like.
Lucy Paradise: He represents the freedom we create for ourselves and plays a role in this show.
Taimur: How wonderful and surreal I like on this issue Kaf Get along with the characters and the world, but you can still root it in a sense. What are the rules for the show you did not violate?
Lucy Paradise: Some stories will appear, which we don’t think are suitable Kaf Or dining table town. We try to keep the foundation. Everything is more interesting to us and our sensitivities. This is a ridiculous and crazy character [like] The actor’s email. [It’s] Based on the performance and storyboard style, for example, we don’t do “Awooga”. There is a kind of elasticity, but not very elastic. We keep it in a space and, although the situation is ridiculous, we feel there is something to do with it.
Nic Smal: We all have a very ridiculous plot, don’t think about it for too long [because] It doesn’t make sense, but it does do something very unexpected and crazy. Then we have a plot where they stay at home to play board games. We like to play this balance. As far as our very strict rules are concerned, it is more about what they can say and what they can’t say. We will never be sarcastic. Maybe from time to time it’s in the character’s personality. But overall, we try to stay away from it, especially in Kiff and Barry.
Lucy Paradise: We are very valuable if we don’t do the character. It’s a sign that I like to watch any show where the characters are consistent. Despite the ridiculous conditions, we will try to do so.

Barry, Kiff, Trevor
Taimur Dar: Like you said, Kiff is a very active character, but she is not a complete two-shoes. For example, in the new season, she and her friends bought a ticket for a boring movie, so they ended up sneaking into another theater. Maybe not the best behavior, but I totally think of her character. How do you write a positive role not bored?
Lucy Paradise: We try to make her real. I think most children are good kids. Kiff always made a lot of mistakes and got stuck. Usually because of her positive attitude, she is a mess. Sometimes she would question herself doing the right thing. Other times, she was like any other child, “Yes, it’s good. It’s a harmless crime!”
Nic Smal: Using the term “boring” with a positive character, with a positive prospect depending on the situation in which the character is in. There is also a balance between other characters surrounding that character. We never find that personality can become boring because she is with herself and they find themselves in a very interesting and enjoyable situation. It’s never boring for us.
Taimur Dar: Like many people, Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy grew up to me, so I love Kev: The Legend of the Ring Light Special. What is this special origin?
Lucy Paradise: A little whirlwind. I think Nick has hit the idea of ring lights.
Nic Smal: We are talking about making familiar stories, and examples of well-known stories Christmas Carol. We are considering how satisfying it is to see the characters you know and enjoy learning from other stories about the characters you know. We’ve seen it The Simpsons Do it. When I think of what I liked when I was a kid Robin Hood: A man in tights or The loading weapon of the National Lambthey are the most interesting things I have ever seen.
Lucy Paradise: We understand these things by watching The Simpsons or Animation First.
Nic Smal: We are talking about a huge epic journey with the ring lit up and everything in place. This is the ring they need to destroy and just landed at this moment. It is Lord of the Rings. They must destroy this ancient ring. We talked about one thing. Kent Osborne Watch the trilogy on a weekend. He was texting: “Helen is Gulum and the chief secretary is Gandalf.” He was sending us photos of the scene and it was all in place. It’s very fun to make.
Lucy Paradise: It felt so perfect throughout the process. [We asked]“We did it Kaf Just for us to do one Lord of the Rings imitate? ”

Barry, kiss
Taimur Dar: Anything you can make fun of Kaf Season 2 is like a new character?
Nic Smal: There are new characters in the picture. There will be some stories that will introduce some characters in depth, just like some school friends.
Lucy Paradise: Our opponents have a certain Scallywag.
Nic Smal: We’ve been finding new friends on the table. The world is so vivid and real to us that we start telling stories and going to new places where someone will become a side character and we fall in love with them. So we have a lot of roles. I don’t think this will slow down. We have a lot to meet.
Lucy Paradise: We feel we have strengthened. The songs in Season 1 are so good. I’m very excited about the songs of Season 2. Nic wrote all these original songs.
Nic Smal: You have some “Legend of the Ring Light” smell.
Lucy Paradise: We are very excited about some story experiments. We think people will love it and can’t wait to watch it.
Nic Smal: We went deep into the dining table town. You’ll see parts of the world they’ve never seen before so magical.
Lucy Paradise: We are glad people find the source of trolls.
Nic Smal: We are going to go back to Trollie’s hometown!
