- Epic Games teased The Simpsons second collaboration with a short video posted on social media Thursday morning.
D’oh! The Simpsons are making a Fortnite comeback!
The long-running animated series are hopping back on the battle bus and returning to Fortnite’s island.
Epic Games teased the return through a short post on social media the morning of Thursday, July 23 writing: “I miss my friends: Bart, Lisa, Krusty…” They promised a full reveal next week on July 29.
Few details have been released about the second collaboration after last November’s popular team up.
One thing we do know from the short video, which mimics The Simpsons opening credits, is that the Springfield game will not be part of the traditional Battle Royale game. The video teases “Simpsons Reload” which is a variation game mode, not the traditional Battle Royale game.
Fortnite Reload games have smaller lobbies with 40 players vs. 100 in the traditional version. Usually the maps are smaller as well so it will be interesting how much of the Springfield will be in the game.
