    Splatoon Raiders reviews roundup

    in News, Switch 2

Splatoon Raiders reviews are now in with the launch coming right up, and we’ve rounded up the initial verdicts.

Splatoon Raiders is the first original entry in the series on Nintendo Switch 2. However, while past games have focused on the multiplayer aspect, single-player is put to the forefront this time around.

As a mechanic working with Deep Cut, you’ll venture out into the Spirhalite Islands in search of treasure. The game will let you customize your character, kit yourself out with ink-splattering weapons and mechanical gadgets, and take on waves of enemy Salmonids as you raid the islands for loot.

Note that there are still multiplayer features in the game, including online and local functionality. Full details are available here.

For those interested in more information about the game, we have the following overview:

Splatoon Raiders places you in the role of a mechanic working with members of the swashbuckling musical trio Deep Cut. Together, you’ll raid the Spirhalite Islands for undiscovered spoils and fend off hordes of malicious Salmonids standing between you and your treasure. Plus, one member of Deep Cut can join you on your quest, piloting a powerful bot and lending you their unique Showstopper attack.

It isn’t just any loot you’re seeking. Nearly everything you collect can make you stronger – and you’re going to need every bit of it. Level up your character, and power up your weapons and gadgets with the trinkets and treasures you find during your island excursions. The gadgets you can use depend on your choice of tank: Speed, Power or Tactical. Pick your favorite according to your preferred playstyle and customize your gadgets for even more personalization.

In Splatoon Raiders, you don’t have to raid alone. Join up to three other players online orgress through the game together. Even when playing solo, you can call for help from other players online or offer help and receive rewards
