A TV anime adaptation of the Because I, the True Saint, was Banished, that Country is Done For! light novel series has been announced with a 2027 broadcast start date and teaser visual. Tsukasa Sakurai (I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Abilityanimation producer) is directing at Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab (Sakurai is its president).
The light novel series, written by Shikiso Utsuzawa and illustrated byPukyunosuke, features a saint who is banished by the prince she was betrothed to and sets off on a journey. Masumi Tozawa voices the saint Eliane, while Taku Yashiro is Nigel, a crown prince who is saved by Eliane.
Other staff on the show include series composer Naoki Tozuka (I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability) and character designer Naru Nishikori (I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability).
The Because I, the True Saint, was Banished, that Country is Done For! light novel series, which is published under Kodansha’s KLanove Books label, debuted in 2021 and has seven volumes as of 2024. There is a manga by Mokuba Matsu, withKodansha USA describing the synopsis as such:
