Ga. (WTVM) – Chattahoochee County schools say they are ready for the 2026-27 school year and are adding a new science, technology, engineering, art and math curriculum, also known as STEAM

District leaders say they are rolling out new STEAM labs equipped with VR headsets, 3D printers and pens, an AI tool called “M-2,” and other equipment. Officials say the upgrades were funded through a STEAM grant awarded within the past three years.

Students say the tools are helping them learn in new ways and prepare for the future.

“I’m kind of thinking of being a lineman or something, and you have to know technology to know what you’re doing,” said Raylen McGlaun, a Chattahoochee Middle School student.

“I love drawing and it’s more like that but it’s bringing your drawings to life. I can draw and it’s like it’s coming off of the page,” said Hayley Williamson, an eighth-grade student.

School officials say the new tools help lessons stick by letting students learn hands-on instead of just memorizing from a textbook.
