Studio Cabana is getting a TV anime adaptation in 2027, with studio JUVENAGE handling animation production. The announcement came with the first teaser visual and details about the main cast and staff.
The story follows high school student Yukari Maki, whose opinion of her delinquent classmate Yusuke Kusaka begins to change after she follows him to a music studio and discovers a side of him she had never seen before.
To commemorate the anime adaptation, manga creator Agri Uma released a new illustration featuring the series’ characters.

Shinichiro Ushijima, who is known for helming the 2018 film I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, is directing the anime.
Sawako Hirabayashi is handling the series scripts. Haruka Sagawa is the character designer, while Sayumi Suzushiro will voice the main character, Yukari Maki.
Studio Cabana is written and illustrated by Agri Uma. The manga began serialisation in June 2021 on the Pixiv Comic website under ASCII Media Works’ Pixiv Sylph label.
Studio Cabana is also getting an English release through Yen Press, with the first volume scheduled to release on December 25, 2026. They describe the series as:
Yukari Maki is a high-school girl who prides herself on honesty—and she’s starting to get the feeling that she and her delinquent classmate, Yusuke Kusaka, don’t have a single thing in common! But her straitlaced unwillingness to let him skate by in school earns her an almost chaperone-like reputation, much to Yusuke’s apparent disdain. Yet, despite his disdain for her hovering, Yukari is unwilling to let a new rumor about Yusuke spread. After following him home to discuss it, she watches him stop at a music studio. And in there, Yukari sees—and hears—a side of Yusuke she had never imagined…
