Hot Wheels is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the original monster truck BIGFOOT with special die-cast models and modified Ford trucks. The 1974 Ford F-250 pickup truck was modified in 1975; four years later, it became the world’s first monster truck after such extensive modifications that it led to today’s industry-wide fanbase and car enthusiasts, including Hot Wheels Monster truck series.
Fans can see the modified truck in the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow-N-Fire, which is currently on tour. They’ll also be able to take home die-cast models next year. Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Trophy Champions multi-packs, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Loop-and-Flip Trophy Challenge and Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Trophy Champions bundles will join the series in 2025.
Champions multi-pack includes a Baja Truck and Baja Hauler. The BIGFOOT redesign stays true to the all-blue silhouette, but adds gold details to celebrate the special anniversary. While monster trucks are a global phenomenon, Hot Wheels counts its monster truck series as one of its most successful endeavors, garnering the most views on all of its YouTube channels and launching a video game.
