Blockchain-based sandbox MMORPG WorldShards has launched a Trials event, offering players the chance to earn NFTs worth over $100,000.
The event took place from November 18th to December 9th at 13:00 UTC and served as an initial test of the game’s upcoming token economy.
Participants can collect in-game items and redeem various NFT prizes by defeating enemies.
What is the WorldShards Trial Campaign?
The trial event is a testing phase designed to evaluate the mechanics of WorldShards’ upcoming cryptocurrency token before its official launch.
In this event, players collect shards by defeating enemies on the wild island. These shards help players climb the leaderboard, and their ranking determines the number of Trial Coins they receive.
Experience coins are unique to the event and can be exchanged for NFT rewards, such as islands of different sizes and rarities and various artifacts.
Event details
To participate, players need to top up their collection in the “Collection” tab on the workbench. This action gives them the Attraction buff, allowing them to collect Shard Shards when defeating enemies. The strength of the attraction depends on the lucky charge and the luck stat of the item used, with rarer items providing stronger effects.
Players are divided into five alliances – Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legend – based on the maximum index of player attractiveness gain. Each league has its own leaderboard and a fixed number of ranks – 30 spots for most leagues and 15 spots for the League of Legends. Rewards are distributed based on leaderboard ranking within each league.
Players who rank in the top 50% and collect the specified number of fragments are guaranteed to receive trial coins.
How to participate?
Existing players can join the event immediately, while new players can qualify through the Open Loot by purchasing a $40 Welcome Pack. This bundle includes:
- Non-tradable keys for game access
- 2,500 Gems (the game’s premium currency)
- Additional resources to help start their journey
