The latest “NCIS” spin-off will borrow the style of the FBI universe and go international. We head to Budapest with some of our favorite on-screen couples.
Ahead of the latest series in the NCIS universe, use this NCIS: Tony & Ziva cast and characters guide for all the character details.
NCIS: Tony and Ziva is bringing back two of our favorite characters after a long hiatus.
When you have a successful series as long-running as NCIS , you’re naturally going to have casting errors for different reasons. Often, actors leave to pursue other roles.
While their lives may go on, loyal fans will remember their characters and celebrate when we reunite.
Tony and Ziva have their own show
Fans learned about the latest two NCIS spinoffs in early 2024. .
However, fans will have to wait until 2025 to see Tiwa reunite. “NCIS: Sydney” will not return for its second season until 2025.
Fans received the exciting news that NCIS will be abandoning the trend of spinoffs based on NCIS locations and instead focusing on character-first spinoffs.
We love the current NCIS team members. I’ve been obsessed with Wilmer Valderrama (Agent Nick Torres) since the days of That ’70s Show and Yo Momma. But fans still miss Agent OG.
In perhaps a last-ditch effort to recapture NCIS’ former glory with its multiple spin-offs, the writers are bringing back fan-favorite agents Jethro Gibbs, Anthony ” Tony” DiNozzo and Ziva David and give them their own show.
Check out our NCIS: Origins article to learn all about how Gibbs became a legendary NCIS agent.
While it’ll be a while before we get to see the marriage of the century that fans never got to witness in the original NCIS series, here’s a detailed cast and character guide for Tony and Ziva on NCIS It can keep you excited while waiting.
Who stars in NCIS: Tony & Ziva?

and their daughter Tully.
Filming for the series has begun in Budapest and a trailer for the future has been released on Weatherly’s Instagram page.
The latest footage features DiNozzo and a surprising companion. Photos of him and his camel colleagues have caused a stir online.
While we don’t have answers for our fellow llamas, we do have a growing list of series regulars who will make up the show’s cast.
Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo (played by Michael Weatherly)
Fans of “NCIS” need no introduction to Anthony DiNozzo, but we’ll introduce it to you anyway. Why don’t we want to talk about the mild-mannered Mr. Security?
Tony spent thirteen years as Gibbs’ right-hand man and the number two man on NCIS’s Major Case Response Team.
During his tenure with the agency, DiNozzo captivated audiences and victims while saving countless lives and arresting dozens of criminals. He grows closer to his colleagues and falls in love with Ziva, but remains responsible and professional.
He also became best friends with fellow agent Tim McGee, lab technician Abby Sciuto, and NCIS chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer, whom Tony affectionately called the autopsy elf.
While many fans miss DiNozzo’s charisma and charisma, this viewer personally misses his mischief. The 80’s made me, the 90’s made me my opinion, but if you don’t make fun of your friends with humor, are you really friends?
After Weatherly left NCIS to pursue other acting opportunities, he became the lead actor on the CBS series “Bull,” which ran for six seasons.
He briefly appeared in NCIS Season 21 Episode 2 as a tribute to David McCallum, who will forever be known in the NCIS universe as Dr. Donald Ducky Mallard.
McCallum passed away just days after his 90th birthday in 2024, just one of the many celebrities we’ve said goodbye to this year.
Ziva David (Cote de Pablo)
Fans first met former Mossad officer Ziva David when she joined the NCIS team at the end of the show’s second season following the death of Agent Kate Todd.
It took fans some time to decide where her loyalties stood.
But it doesn’t take long for us to fall in love with David and the sizzling chemistry between her and Tony.
We love her close relationship with Gibbs and Ducky.
Cote spent eight seasons as Ziva before leaving in NCIS Season 11 Episode 2. .
A few seasons later, fans learned that Ziva was not dead, but in hiding.
She returned in NCIS Season 16 Episode 24 and reappeared in several episodes of NCIS Season 17.
Her partnership with Gibbs and NCIS takes her out of hiding from bad guys, allowing her to reunite with Tony and their daughter.
Cotter is best known for her long-running role on NCIS, and her characters haven’t had similar success since.
You may have seen her in lesser-known roles in movies like The 33, The Last Rites of Ransom Pride, and Prototype.
Sophie (played by Lara Rossi)
Sophie will gain professional skills while working in the SAS (Special Air Service) and will be responsible for looking after Tully.
Rosie has appeared in The Keepers, Cuckoo Midwich, Robin Hood, Crossing the Line, Flesh and Blood and Angela Black.
Watch strap (Yoshidao)
When Michael Weatherly left the show, fans learned about Tony and Ziva’s daughter Tali and his role as Tony DiNozzo.
It was then that viewers discovered that Tony and Ziva had a secret affair and fathered an unknown child.
After a decade, fans will finally get to meet Tony and Ziva’s infamous daughter in the NCIS spinoff. Tali will become a precocious 12-year-old who is tired of being treated like a child.
Gee is best known for her work on “Foundation,” but she also had a few roles in her short career, including “Slow Horse,” “The Outlaw” and “Mammals.”
Martina (played by Nasima Benchiku)
Martine, a former French DGSE intelligence officer, will become another employee of Tony Security.
Nasima is best known for her work in the Emily in Paris series. She also appeared in an episode of “The Sandhaven Murders” and “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon”.
Boris (Maximilian Osinsky)
NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be filled with beautiful characters and sexy, sculpted bodies, like Maximilian Osinski, who plays a Russian computer hacker named Boris .
Over the years, we’ve seen Osinski in a number of film and television productions. He has appeared in single episodes of “MacGyver,” “Shameless” and “New Amsterdam.”
But he is best known as Agent Davis in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dennis in The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and Zawa in Ted Lasso.
Dr. Lang (Terrence Maynard)
Maynard will play Dr. Long, an experienced therapist who specializes in treating severe trauma for Tony’s security company.
Maynard has played several roles throughout his career. We’ve seen him in recurring roles and one-off appearances in Ridley, The Witcher, Sherwood, 222 episodes of Coronation Street and Young Dracula.
Claudette (played by Amita Suman)
We join Tony and Ziva after they reunite and build a life together. Tony’s private security company hires technical chief Claudette (played by Amita Suman).
Her previous credits include Casualty, Doctor Who, The Outpost, a single episode of The Sandman and sixteen episodes of Shadow and Bone.
Henry (James Darcy)
Since NCIS: Tony and Ziva will be chronicling international cases in exotic locations, it’s no surprise that we’ll see a few episodes involving Interpol.
James D’Arcy, known for his impressive work in “Oppenheimer,” will play the role of a high-ranking Interpol officer.
He has also made recurring appearances on Homeland, My Little Show, and Zodiac.
Jonah (Julian Overden)
Julian will play Jonah, a prominent former National Security Agency computer programmer who is now the Secretary-General of Interpol.
You may recognize his good looks from Netflix’s adaptation of the hit historical drama Bridgerton. He has also appeared in films such as “Trigger Point,” “Knightfall,” “Related,” “The Royals,” “Downtown Abbey” and “Person of Interest.”
NCIS: Tony and Ziva actors and characters
NCIS: Tony & Ziva promises to give fans the romantic undercurrent of Tiva that we’ve been missing since the couple left our favorite investigative agency.
It will be interesting to see how the show ties into the NCIS now that the two former agents are no longer active members. Or is the NCIS part of the title a reference to their former glory?
Anyone with information about the show is tight-lipped, although Michael Weatherly seems to enjoy tormenting his fans with cryptic posts on social media.
Seriously! camel? Funky Double-O-7 digs? Budapest?
What will fans see when Tiwa returns after ten years of marriage and living abroad with her teenage daughter?
