The new Storm series raises expectations for where Ororo Munro’s solo adventure will go. Written by Mr. Ayodele and art Lucas Wernecke, This all-new story will not only redefine STORM as an individual and an Avenger, it will also introduce brand new costumes.
“Fashion has always been one of the many tools I use to find inspiration,” explains Wernecke. “You can tell a lot about a character through clothing, and that’s the kind of visual storytelling that I love. Now you can imagine when Marvel gave me the opportunity and space to fashion an iconic character like Ororo, I How excited.
“I really wanted to give her a sense of style,” he added. “I imagined she had this goddess aura, but she also had a lot of humanity in her, so the challenge here was to translate all the aspects that define her into the way she dresses, moves, talks—the way she lives her life. I had a lot of fun with it. Have fun and I hope the fans enjoy all the little details we created for her and all the surprises we cook up in this series.

Written by Murewa Ayodele and drawn by Lucas Werneck, STORM will position Ororo Munroe as the most powerful being on Earth A mutant who will protect Earth from advanced threats at Storm Shelter, her new headquarters in Atlanta! Showcasing her identity as an Omega-level powerhouse, it’s a bright new era for the iconic X-Men, and with that new era comes new costumes! In addition to the show-stopping new main costume, Werneck has been busy designing a variety of stunning looks for Storm’s upcoming adventures, and today, fans can see a redesigned version of Storm’s classic silver suit, which will appear in STORM #2 debuted in.
Determined to make The Storm the most epic series on stands, Ayodele and Wernecke plunged headlong into a potential nuclear apocalypse in the opening issue. From then on, her legend only escalated as she caught the attention (and admiration) of all-powerful cosmic forces like Annihilation and supervillains befitting her stature like Doctor Doom! As Storm solidifies her role as the world’s primary protector, she needs a wardrobe that can handle any challenge! Fans can look forward to the character’s rich history of memorable costumes, including armor, cosmic suits, and of course, plenty of high-fashion, goddess-worthy costumes!
