    Fortnite is set to get a few new Sprites in the game as part of the July 16 update, spicing up Chapter 7 Season 3 even more. Elemental Sprites were added to Fortnite as part of Season 3, with them providing players with passive boosts in matches of the popular battle royale shooter

    Epic Games is adding three new Sprites as part of the v41.20 update for Fortnite on July 16. Here’s what each of the new Sprites do, how to find them, and when they’ll be released in the game

    Fortnite July 16 update release time

    Update v41.20 for Fortnite is expected to release at 8am BST on July 16, 2026

    However, Fortnite updates tend to arrive with a couple hours of server downtime. That means you can expect the servers to come back online around 10am BST on July 16, so don’t get too ahead of yourself on Thursday morning

    All new Sprites coming to Fortnite on July 16

    Three new Sprites are coming to Fortnite on July 16, all with their own unique abilities. Here’s a breakdown of each one:

    Air Sprite

    Powers:

    • Increased sprint speed
    • Increased jump height
    • Negates all fall damage
    • Jump height increases as Sprite levels up

    Where to find:

    • Random chests around the map

    Batman Sprite

    Powers:

    • Unknown

    Where to find:

    Seven Sprite

    Powers:

    • Reveal enemy player foot trails to your squad
    • Duration of foot trail reveal increases as Sprite levels up

    Where to find:

    • Random chests around the map

    These three new Sprites join the 16 other Sprites already in the game. It’s rumoured that we’ll be getting two additional Sprites before Chapter 7 Season 3 is over, with leaks and data mines pointing towards collaborations with both Spider-Man and John Wick on the horizon
