Earlier this year, we learned that Frontier was actively developing a new Jurassic World game. While the press release doesn’t 100% confirm that the project is an Evolution 3, it’s the most likely possibility. Now, new details about the company’s portfolio strategy for next year and beyond shed more light on the matter.
Via r/jurassicworldevo user HeavyGold8, we’ve received further confirmation that the first two Jurassic World Evolution games were huge for both Frontier and Universal, which owns the IP and is set to release it next year A new Jurassic World movie, despite the fact that it’s still being shot. Additionally, the company’s next game based on the IP appears to be launching between June 2025 and May 2026 (during fiscal 2026).

The second slide shared by the user features an image from Jurassic World Evolution 2 as a placeholder, and considering the company has recently talked directly about doubling down on simulation and management games on other types of experiments, this feels like is our best hint at what to expect outside of an actual official announcement in the release window.
Frontier also emphasized that the game is very similar to the first two Evolution games and aims to work very closely with Universal Pictures when the new Jurassic World movie is released. While the expectation window it shared is fairly wide, it did specify that Jurassic World: Rebirth will launch in early July 2025. . , the film was originally intended to be released in the summer of 2021, but was delayed before being affected by the new coronavirus epidemic.
Directed by Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’s Gareth Edwards from a script secretly written by Jurassic Park’s David Koepp, the new film seems designed to bring the series back to its simple roots rather than going back to world-shaking trajectories. Given what Frontier has accomplished with Jurassic World Evolution 2 and its numerous DLCs, it will be interesting to see how this formula is updated and improved. The studio’s next title, Planet Coaster 2, will be released later this year.
Frontier’s new Jurassic World game isn’t the only big Jurassic project currently in development. Following the huge success of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2, Saber Interactive is returning to Jurassic Park with a single-player adventure that could be the survival horror game in the series we’ve always dreamed of. Jurassic Park: Survival doesn’t have a release date yet, but I bet Universal wants it to come out around the same time as Rebirth.
