The YouTuber previously highlighted allegations of harassment from former Art Director Glenn Israel. His latest video provides more details on how Halo Studios head Pierre Hintze mistreated employees.olved. It also contributed to the cancellation of a rumored multiplayer spinoff, Project Ekur
Rebs Gaming learned that Hintze berated developers, making them reluctant to share their progress. There were instances of verbal abuse, prompting workers to report the Xbox executive to HR. He also ignored concerns about work/life balance and questions about advancement
Hintze’s cruelty extended to a close friend, Michael Fahrny, who led production of Halo Infinite. Fahrny was demoted and dismissed after taking a medical leave
Shifting priorities and blame
The Halo: Campaign Evolved release date is imminent, but the insider credits the developers for their dedication. Meanwhile, Hintze exhibited poor project management and constantly shifted priorities. He then pinned the struggles of the Combat Evolved remake on employees
The Xbox studio also may have suffered due to the failings of its current Art Director, Chris Matthews. Rebs Gaming claims he treated employees inappropriately and hired friends rather than qualified candidates
Finally, Chief Operating Officer Elizabeth Van Wick reportedly neglected her duties. Tasked with managing the studio’s finances, she was instead frequently absent or on vacation
Glenn Israel corroborated many of the new leaks and added that he filed complaints against Hintze and Matthews. Israel says he witnessed or suffered firsthand harassment, blacklisting, favoritism, and unjustified firings
Xbox CEO Asha Sharma is counting on the shooter franchise to help turn around the company’s fortunes. While Campaign Evolved may be a success, even without multiplayer, its development was problematic. Rebs Gaming worries that if Microsoft doesn’t address the leadership issues, it will doom more ambitious Halo games
