As hard as you try to savor Black Dovesseason 2, there’s no doubt you will find yourself binge-watching the entire season in one sitting.
If you find that to be the case with your watch of Black Doves season 2, you will need more content to fill your watch list with this weekend. Thankfully, Netflix has no shortage of action-packed thrillers to keep us entertained. We’re sharing three titles to catch up on or rewatch below!
The Night Agent
Yes, we’re suggesting one of the most popular Netflix original thriller series even though it’s unimaginable that anyone who was going to watch the show hasn’t already. But on the off chance that you haven’t taken the plunge and watched The Night Agent, the action drama has three seasons currently waiting for you to binge-watch on Netflix.
The Night Agent centers on Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) as he goes from a low-level employee in the White House to one of the most integral spies working for the US government’s Night Action program. Season after season, Peter takes on new missions and enemies as he avoids the dangerous conspiracies that threaten his life and those of his loved ones.
If you have already watched all three seasons of The Night Agent,it’s the perfect time to run it back for a rewatch. The cast and crew have already completed production on the fourth and final season, which is currently being prepped for release sometime in 2027. Keep the Black Doves excitement going with Peter Sutherland’s epic, globe-trotting missions.
Dept. Q
From one thriller from across the pond to another, Black Dovesand Dept. Qare two of the best Netflix original series of the moment, so it’s only natural for viewers to watch both. Seriously, if you love one, there’s an essentially 100 percent chance you will love the other. While they don’t have the same premise, they are similar enough for crime drama fans to get hooked.
Dept. Q borrows its premise from the book series written by Jussi Adler-Olsen and stars Matthew Goode as Detective Carl Morck. After a complicated time in his life and career, Morck winds up leading a new cold case division known as Department Q. Using his unique methods, Morck leads his new team through a complicated investigation while also navigating his personal struggles.
You might have already watched Dept. Qwhen the series first premiered on Netflix in May 2025, or maybe you managed to miss the show the first time around. Either way, the time is right to get back into Dept. Q as filming for the highly anticipated second season just wrapped. New episodes are headed our way sometime in 2027. Get ready for even more action!
The Diplomat
Okay, “action-packed” might be a strange way to described The Diplomat, but depending on how you define action, there’s plenty of it to go around in the political thriller. There might not be fights and explosions happening in every episode or really at all, but there’s always some kind of action going down to keep us firmly planted on the edge of our seats.
Like Black Doves, the Emmy Award-winning political thriller dives deep into the truly thriller aspects of politics, and each episode tends to end with a game-changing cliffhanger that prevents anyone from having the ability to turn off the show. Especially with the most recent fourth season, which just might be the show’s best, there’s no way anyone can resist a one-stting watch.
The Diplomat season 5 has already been renewed and will hopefully be on the way to our watch lists sometime next fall. If you’re behind on the show, haven’t started, or feel the itch for a rewatch, there are four great seasons of television waiting for you when you finish watching Black Doves season 2. Imagine a world where Helen Webb and Kate Wyler cross paths!
