Beyond the critically acclaimed campaign, the PS5 version comes with several technical improvements over the original PS4 release. These include 4K resolution and 60 fps performance, improved visuals, and faster loading times.

Speaking of its story, the game follows young Amicia and her younger brother Hugo in France in 1348, during the Black Death. The siblings must escape the Inquisition while navigating villages overrun by deadly swarms of rats.

The game combines action and stealth gameplay in a third-person adventure. Players must use fire and light to keep the rats away while avoiding or distracting enemy soldiers. Along the way, the siblings encounter other orphans who join them on their journey. Together, they uncover secrets and fight to survive the darkest hours of history.
